How much does a commercial solar system cost?
It depends on size, roof and grid connection. Your survey gives a fixed quote and a cost per kWh. Use the estimator on the Finance page for an indicative size.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. SF Finance offers equipment leases, power purchase agreements and pay-as-you-save, arranged through Solution First Capital and subject to funder approval.
Do I need a battery?
If you use a lot of power after dark, suffer outages, or pay time-of-use tariffs, a battery usually pays its way. If your use is mostly daytime, solar alone may be enough.
Will my system work during a power cut?
Only if it includes backup. A standard grid-tied system shuts down in a power cut for safety. SF Backup and SF Hybrid Power keep critical loads running.
Do you work outside the UK?
Yes. SF Agri-Solar works with farms in Zimbabwe and, by arrangement, across Southern Africa.
What maintenance does solar need?
Very little, but inverters and batteries benefit from monitoring and an annual check. Every system includes a year of monitoring; SF Care covers servicing after that.
Are there tax reliefs in the UK?
On-site solar and batteries are exempt from business rates in England until March 2035, and capital allowances may apply. Check how they apply to you with your accountant.
How long does installation take?
Most commercial systems take [X] days on site once the design and grid approval are in place. Grid approval timing varies by network operator.
